Consisting of 85% Superwash extra fine Merino (19.5 micron) and 15% Nylon this (2/7.2Nm) High Twist Fingering Weight base is a luxuriously soft and bouncy fibre that is perfect for all your next to skin projects. Two plies are twisted tightly together to produce a very soft and springy yarn. This yarn is slightly plumper than Arcane's original Deluxe sock yarn (which has 4 plies) but is just as soft. The 2 plies make the yarn slightly bumpy which helps the strands of yarn hold together against each other making it great for colourwork and lace work. The thicker strands also help speckles pop even more!
